I went along to 'ridiculously ' big motoring world with an open mind. After some time trekking through their metal jungle, I saw a car I liked at a fair price.
It had some issues like missing sat nav module and some noises but I still wanted to know more. Eventually...........we were seen by a polite young man who had sadly forgotten to shave for a couple of days who took us into the torture compound...I mean sales office..For a chat. Despite many request they would not produce the service book, mot, VIN original documents, only an online sheet. There was no way to check the details of the car from original history paperwork.
This concerned me enough to start doubting the mileage.
Always ask to see log book, mot, service book with stamps, so you can see if the car is genuine.NEVER accept online documents or promises.
All cars end up with reams of paperwork which can be passed on, including service receipts. If none of it is available to see, DON'T BUY IT, WALK AWAY.
